Game Introduction
overview
Prime Hunter is a number puzzle game that challenges your knowledge of prime numbers.
Each round presents a grid filled with random numbers. Your task is to identify and select
every prime number while avoiding composite numbers. The game features multiple difficulty
levels with increasing grid sizes and number ranges.
rules
A prime number is only divisible by 1 and itself (e.g., 2, 3, 5, 7, 11).
The number 1 is NOT a prime number.
2 is the only even prime number.
Select all primes in the grid and avoid selecting any composite numbers.
Use Check to verify your answer. All primes must be found with no mistakes to win.
controls
Click or tap a number to select it (you think it's prime).
Click again to deselect.
Press Check to see if your selections are correct.
Press Hint to reveal one unfound prime.
Press New Game to generate a fresh grid.
scoring
Your performance is measured by time and accuracy. Finding all primes quickly
with no incorrect selections earns the best score. Each hint used adds a small
time penalty. Harder modes with larger grids and bigger number ranges are worth
more bragging rights.
tips
Remember: 2 is prime, but all other even numbers are not.
Quick divisibility tests: if a number ends in 0 or 5 (and isn't 5), it's not prime.
For larger numbers, check divisibility by 2, 3, 5, 7 — that covers primes up to 120.
Start with obvious primes (2, 3, 5, 7, 11) then work through harder numbers.
Use the Hint button when stuck on a tricky number.
faq
What is a prime number?
A prime number is a natural number greater than 1 that cannot be formed by multiplying two smaller natural numbers. For example, 7 is prime because the only way to get 7 is 1 × 7.
Is 1 a prime number?
No. By mathematical convention, 1 is neither prime nor composite. The smallest prime number is 2.
How does the difficulty change across modes?
Higher difficulty modes use larger grids and wider number ranges. Beginner uses a 4×4 grid with numbers up to 30, while Master uses an 8×8 grid with numbers up to 300.
