In Short: We only use your information when it’s allowed by law. There are different legal reasons for this, such as when you give us permission, when we need to follow the law, or when it’s necessary to provide you with the services you’ve asked for.
If you are located in the European Union (EU) or the United Kingdom (UK), this section applies to you.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal reasons we rely on to use your personal information. We may use your personal information based on the following legal grounds:
- Consent: We may use your information if you have given us your permission (consent) to use it for a specific purpose. You can change your mind and withdraw your consent at any time. You can find out more about how to do this later in this policy.

- To identify injured, ill, or deceased individuals and communicate with their next of kin.

- If we are required to disclose the information by a subpoena, warrant, court order, or rules of a court related to producing records.
- If the information was created by an individual during their employment, business, or profession, and the collection is consistent with why the information was created.
- If the collection is solely for journalistic, artistic, or literary purposes.
- If the information is publicly available as specified by regulations.
4. When and Why We Might Share Your Information
In Short: We may share information in specific situations described in this section and/or with the following third parties.
We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:
- Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or part of our business by another company, we may share or transfer your information as part of those negotiations or the transaction itself. In such cases, we will take steps to ensure your privacy rights continue to be protected.
- Other Users: If you share personal information in public areas of our services, such as by posting comments or other content, that information may be seen by all users and could be made publicly available outside of our services indefinitely. Similarly, other users may be able to see descriptions of your activity, communicate with you within our services, and view your profile. Please be mindful of the information you choose to share in public areas.
While the policy currently doesn’t explicitly list other categories of third parties, it’s important to understand that we might also share your information with service providers who help us with various aspects of our business. This could include companies that provide services such as website hosting, data analysis, email delivery, customer service, and marketing assistance. We will ensure that these service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and only use it for the purposes we have specified.
5. Our Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Tools
In Short: We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to gather information when you interact with our services. Some of these technologies help us keep our services secure and protect your account, prevent crashes, fix bugs, remember your preferences, and assist with basic website functions. These are often necessary for the website to work properly.
We also allow third parties and service providers to use online tracking technologies on our services for analytics and advertising purposes. This helps us understand how our website is used, manage and display advertisements, tailor ads to your interests, and send reminders about items you’ve left in your shopping cart (depending on your communication preferences). These third parties use their technology to show you ads for products and services that might interest you, both on our services and on other websites.
To the extent that these online tracking technologies are considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under applicable US state laws (which includes targeted advertising), you can opt out of these technologies by submitting a request as described in the “Privacy Choices for US Residents” section below.
More specific details about how we use these technologies and how you can refuse certain cookies can be found in our separate Cookie Notice, which we encourage you to review.
Google Analytics: We may share your information with Google Analytics to track and analyze how our services are used. If you don’t want Google Analytics to track you across our services, you can visit this page to opt out: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For more information about Google’s privacy practices, please visit their Privacy & Terms page. This helps us understand user behavior and improve our services.
6. How Long We Keep Your Information
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or allowed by law.
We will only hold onto your personal information for as long as we need it for the reasons explained in this Privacy Notice. There might be situations where the law requires or permits us to keep it for longer, such as for tax, accounting, or other legal obligations. Unless otherwise legally required, we will not keep your personal information for longer than one (1) month after your account is closed. This relatively short retention period reflects our commitment to not keeping your data longer than necessary.
When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete it completely or anonymize it so it can no longer be linked back to you. If deletion isn’t immediately possible (for example, if your information is stored in backup archives), we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until it can be deleted.
7. Keeping Your Information Safe
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we handle. These measures include things like encryption to protect data during transmission and storage, access controls to limit who can see your information, and regular security assessments to identify and address potential vulnerabilities. However, despite our best efforts, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. This means that while we strive to protect your information, we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will never be able to bypass our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information.
Therefore, while we do our best to protect your personal information, the transmission of personal information to and from our services is at your own risk. You should only access our services within a secure environment to help protect your data.
8. Information About Children
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.
We do not intentionally collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly market our services to them. Additionally, we do not knowingly sell the personal information of children under 18. By using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or that you are the parent or guardian of a minor and you consent to their use of our services.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a user under the age of 18 without proper consent, we will take steps to deactivate their account and promptly delete that data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at [email protected].
9. Your Privacy Rights
In Short: Depending on where you live in the US or in regions like the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), Switzerland, and Canada, you have rights that give you more access to and control over your personal information. You can review, change, or close your account at any time, depending on your location.
In some regions, including the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada, you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These rights may include:
- The right to ask for access to and get a copy of your personal information.

You can do this by contacting us using the details in the “How to Contact Us About Privacy” section below or by updating your preferences. Please note that withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we did before you withdrew it, nor will it affect processing based on other legal grounds where applicable law allows.
Account Information: If you want to review or change the information in your account or close your account at any time, you can:
- Log in to your account settings and update your user account.
- Contact us using the contact information provided.
When you ask us to close your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may keep some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, help with investigations, enforce our legal terms, and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
10. Your Choices Regarding Tracking
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and apps have a “Do-Not-Track” (DNT) feature or setting that you can turn on to signal your preference not to have your online browsing activities tracked and collected. Currently, there isn’t a universal technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals. As a result, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted in the future that we are required to follow, we will inform you about that practice in an updated version of this Privacy Notice.
California law requires us to inform you how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there isn’t yet an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.
